Born August 21, 1971 in Manila, Philippines, Charmaine Joie arrived and grew up in United States as a young girl with a passionate dreams of designing dresses alongside mother as her mentor.  In 1993, she moved to Los Angeles & began her designing career by attending and graduating from FIDM.

Through the years, her knowledge and skills grew by learning every aspect of the design & production process.  In 2011, Charmaine became part of the NBC series " Fashion Star" for 2 seasons. This catapulted her to become a full fledged designer.
Forward to today, she's finally launched  her own couture dress line & label, Charmaine Joie Couture. Her brand has conquered the fashion runway of Orange County Fashion Week for past 3 seasons as well as featured in several magazines already.  Her dresses have been worn on red carpets by American Idols ( Paris Bennett & Tamrya Gray), models like Janine Tuganon, (Miss Philippines Miss Universe 1st Runner up 2012), ANTM models, Naima Mora (winner cycle 4) & Ambreal Williams ( Cycle 9) , Madeline Stuart ( Fashion Model with Down Syndrome) and actresses (French actress Ineska TakTak). 

She moves forward to design for women who want to stand to be unique in their own right . Her plans to expand her couture fashion into PLUS size &  Ready To Wear is in matter of time. The Charmaine Joie Couture label believes in associating itself with diversity, self acceptance, positive empowerment and various charities as well as being a luxury brand expanding on a global scale
